A little about me...

Hey, there! I'm Heather. I'm the author of new-adult dystopian novel A Collection of Scars and A Burden of Love. In lots of ways, I'm your typical bookish type with a love of tea, candles, and other cozy things. Although the A Collection of Scars trilogy is a dystopian work, I enjoy writing in a variety of genres.

Some things you should know about me:

I teach group fitness and music classes
I have a major sweet tooth
My hobbies are playing the piano, watching TV, listening to podcasts, doing touristy things, and baking
I keep my family a relative secret online, so you'll know them as Husband, Baby Hataley, and Pupper
I enjoy Instagram even though I'm not really great at photos
I'm a home-body that loves to travel

You'll enjoy my work if you're emotionally curious and like complex characters, emotional rollercoasters, and no simple paths towards happy endings.
